Black Friday Hike

Black Friday Hike

Friday, November 22 from 9 to 11 a.m.


Skip the shopping madness and walk off your turkey dinner along this 6 mile loop with some beautiful views of the park. Have you ever heard of the "BLACK HILL"in Druid Hill Park ?Well, this is your chance to get a guided hike along the Jones Fall Trail that runs through Druid Hill Park, as well as the old roads that travel along the back side of The Maryland Zoo. Meet at the Rawlings Conservatory. This walk is a roughly 6 mole loop on paved surfaces with several steep hills. Please come dressed for the weather and bring water snacks.


We will meet in the Rawlings Conservatory between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. before we head out on our hike.

Age: All

Pets: Dogs are welcome to join our hike.  Dogs are required to be leashed as per park rules.    
Cost: $10   All proceeds benefit the FREE programming offered at the Druid Hill Farmers Market.

First Day Hike

First Day Hike

Wednesday, January 1 from 9 to 11 a.m.


Start a tradition on News Year's Day by starting the year off on the right foot, left foot or any foot -- join us on our Annual First Day Hike in Druid Hill Park! Connecting with the outdoors brings a sense of rejuvenation that's especially appropriate on New Year's Day and Druid Hill Park is the perfect place for that experience. We hope that exploring Druid Hill Park on January 1st will become your new tradition. **This walk will be roughly a 6 mile loop on paved surfaces with several steep hills** Please come dressed for the weather and bring water and a snack.


We will meet in the Rawlings Conservatory between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. before we head out on our hike.
