Winter Solstice Celebration

A fundraiser for the Druid Hill

Farmers Market

Saturday, December 21 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Location: Rawlings Conservatory

The winter solstice marks the time of the year when the darkness begins to fade and the earth prepares for a new cycle of growth. Come and celebrate this important event in the calendar.

Join the Druid Hill Market team and the Rawlings Conservatory for a special Tropical Solstice Celebration:

roaring fire, roasting marshmallows, hay rides, and music all focused on the winter solstice.  Create your very own "Winter Solstice Resolution," write down a wish for the new year and burn it along with holly leaves in the blazing solstice fire.

Escape the frigid temperatures by entering the Rawlings Conservatory and travel to the tropics with a bright and colorful display of Poinsettias.

Oh - and some seasonal refreshments too! (hot chocolate and light refreshments included with $10 ticket - beer/wine and additional food items will be available for purchase).

Age: All

Cost: $10 online ($15 at the door) - All proceeds benefit the FREE programming offered at the Druid Hill Farmers Market.
