Thanks to a generous donation from Amerigroup and the Druid Hill Farmers Market team the market will have funding available for the 2020 Druid Dollar Incentives program. Customers shopping with their FMNP Coupons and/or SNAP/Independence Cards are able to double their benefit dollars up to
$10 at the market.
The market has acquired an EBT wireless machine that allows us to accept Independence cards for those in the SNAP program. It also allows us to take credit cards from our customers.
SNAP (formerly food stamps) participants will swipe their cards and receive $1 tokens in exchange to spend at qualifying vendors (no change can be given on $1 tokens).
Matching Program: The Druid Dollar Incentives Program allows customers shopping with their FMNP Coupons and/or SNAP/Independence Cards to double their benefit dollars up to $5 at the market (while funding is available). For more information, visit the Market Information tent.

Druid Dollars remove economic barriers for food-insecure shoppers, providing a match for purchases made using federal nutrition benefits at the Druid Hill Farmers Market. Druid Dollars help fight hunger and invest directly in farmers, strengthening the local food system. The Druid Hill Farmers Market is grateful to the generous donors who are making this possible. This incentive program is currently only partially funded for the 2020 season. The market volunteers hope to find additional resources to be able to continue the program throughout the market season.
